The documentation for the Message script command indicates how to use the variable specified as the "Resulting variable" in Source Code. However, I'd like to use the variable in an If statement in the script rather than in Source Code. I've tried putting both $IDYES and just IDYES in the If statement's "Value" field, but neither one works.

I figured it out. You have to use the numeric values indicated on the Message help page. In the case of the Yes button the value is 6.
