How to dispose of “Cannot add resource file…” error

Depending on the installed software, making installation in CreateInstall can produce the following error: “Cannot add resource file C:\Users\...”. This could happen if the linker.dat file is blocked by another process in the specified directory. Usually, such process is an antivirus or a firewall. You can restart installation and it will complete normally. However, if the error occurs over and over, for example if the ESET antivirus is installed, simply add the entire directory listed in the error message or just the linker.dat file from this directory to the exclusion list of your antivirus.

For example, if you get "Cannot add resource file c:\Users\1\AppData\Local\Temp\gentee01\temp.res" then add the directory c:\Users\1\AppData\Local\Temp\gentee01 or the file c:\Users\1\AppData\Local\Temp\gentee0 \linker.dat to the exclude list of the antivirus.
